I'm one of those carefree Moms that would let my child do almost everything and explore everywhere as long as it doesn't pose a physical threat to her or others. My daughter, Minji, started to crawl very early on and started to toddle at 10months. She's very active compared to any other children I met.
Minji never liked sitting in her stroller or being carried around. I remember even letting her crawl around stores to keep her happy. Some gasped and looked at me as if I was crazy to let her crawl around like that on public floors. But as long as you just use some common sense, such as not letting your child crawl at places with shopping carts, animals, dirty floors, high traffic and etc, I don't think it's such a big deal. In fact, I firmly believe her self-esteem and immune system are now stronger than kids who were over-protected as babies.
Because of Minji's active life style, her knees were red and bruised most of the time. I tried every kind of knee pads out there and found them to be useless. The leading brand was way too bulky and restricted her natural baby movements while others were just too flimsy or slipped off. Then by accident I found the perfect pair of baby knee pads while travelling overseas and modified them a bit to suit Minji's needs. Thus, Lil' Melon Baby Knee Pads were born.
Lil' Melon Baby Knee Pads are cotton blend, light-weight and stylish. They go on and come off easily like socks and can fit anywhere in your purse or diaper bag. The ventilated back side helps a lot on hot Summer days. These knee pads are one size fit most from 6 - 18months, and I am working on some bigger sizes for 16-20months. Don't we all know how toddlers can scrape their knees pretty bad at playgrounds. I'm also working on more designs and colors and would appreciate feedbacks on what kind of designs you would like to see.
